Gloria lived in East Brunswick for 46 years and was a retired Treasury supervisor for AT&T in Piscataway. In 2004 she relocated to Cape Coral, Florida, to be near her family. She was a member of St. Katherine Drexel Church in Cape Coral and of the AT&T Pioneers.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Gloria's memory to the welfare of the dogs at Pekes and Pals Canine Rescue, Inc. There are two ways to honor this loving, kind woman.
IN MEMORY OF RUTH ALICE DINKEL
1911-2009
Ruth Dinkel, 97, of Cape Coral Florida, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2009. Ruth was born to the late Edmund and Mary O'Brien on September 11, 1911. She was a graduate of New Brunswick High School in 1929 and attended Rider Business College. Ruth Dinkel was a resident of Spotswood, NJ for over 70 years. She was a supervisor for Johnson & Johnson before leaving to raise a family. She was the oldest living Charter Member of the Spotswood Fire Department's Ladies Auxiliary.
Ruth was predeceased by her husband, Louis Dinkel, who died in 1994. She is survived by her two daughters and their spouses, Nancy and John Longwith of Broken Arrow, OK and Sharon and John Maibauer of Cape Coral, FL; her two grandsons and their spouses, John and Trisha Longwith of Jenks, Oklahoma and Joe and Teresa Longwith of Broken Arrow, OK; her three great-grandchildren, Marissa, Joshua, and Grant Longwith of Jenks, OK; her sister Alice Leach of Plainsboro, NJ; her brother, Herbert O'Brien, of South Plainfield; and her sister-in-law, Teresa O'Brien of Hillsborough, NJ. She is the sister of the late Elsie Dobson, Edmund O'Brien, Elinor Marzo, and Helen Ellison.

Hi Peggy,
Here is my mom with one of our dogs, Abbey. She was their "Nana" and Abbey and all our dogs since her passing, have always chosen to sleep around my mother's chair and keep her company. She loved them dearly and called them "her babies." I think they are part of the reason that my mother lasted for 97 years!
