I feel so silly....
Female Chihuahua-Terrier Mix
Hi, I'm Leah! I came to Pekes and Pals from the local shelter where I was taken after being hit by a car. I had all kinds of broken bones, but I'm all healed up and ready to rock-n-roll! The vet thinks I'm about 3 years old and I weigh about 10 pounds. I'm very active and I need a secure fenced yard to keep me outa mischief. I'd love some gentle children or adults to play with! I'm doing really well with my housetraining. I'm a very affectionate girl and I want so much to have a loving, devoted family. I love to snuggle and will be your "velcro" kid on the sofa. I'm not a barker, but I will alert you to things when I feel you need it. Please come and take me home with you.
UPDATE 6/10/11:

Hi all,
Leah is a "special" little chihuahua mix who came to us in 2006 from our local shelter after being hit by a car and sustaining injuries that needed my attention for a long time. She had sustained fractures that resulted in a Pudendal Nerve injury with loss of bowel and bladder control, and weakness in her hind legs. Over time and with therapy she regained total control and can run and play with the best of them. She is a happy, loving and nurturing little one who finally found a new family. She now has siblings of the canine sort who are Cavilears, and she lives nearby. Thanks to all of you, and your support and encouragement, we help these furkids find new and Wonderful futures. Peggy
