Hi there! I'm Jacob and I really want a home of my own. I came to Pekes and Pals from an overcrowded shelter. They were gonna put me to sleep because "my time was up!" I'm about 8 years old and I weigh a whopping 10 pounds. I was abused and neglected by my previous owner, so I'm shy, and it's taking me some time to learn that not all humans are cruel. I'm learning what it's like to be a beloved pet. I really want an all adult family, or a family with children over the age of 10. I'm learning to play - I never did that before - and I LOVE these things they have here called TOYS! I sometimes want to be left alone, but I'll let you know by growling and snarling. If you let me get past my mood, I'll come up to be petted and snuggled a few minutes later. My new family will just need to recognize when I need to be left alone.
