We are a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to our dogs
Hi all This precious little 4.5 yo girl has never been seen by a vet to our knowledge and her history. On a brief exam it looks like she has had at least one litter of pups. She has juvenile cataracts so we are going to Pray for a family who can have them removed to restore her vision. I am pasting a bit of her story so you will see why I could not turn her away. " My mother adopted her from a local pet store while she was a puppy, although she couldn't properly care for her. Gidget was harassed when she was young, and at the time I was only a teenager and couldn't do much about it. I watched as my mother grew frustrated with Gidget, and often kicked her around. I come from a family of 10 children, and my mother taught my younger siblings that it was okay to kick Gidget when she barked." This is a short exerpt from the email asking us to take Gidget into our Program. Her cataracts are quite well developed so I think she would do very well with the surgery. She is only about 10 lbs, gets around very well here and lets the other kids know if they bug her, with a gentle growl, absolutely no nipping seen so far and some of the other kids were curious about her. She will be visiting Dr D very soon. Thanks to you, this precious little one may have a new family to truly love her like she deserves. Peggy
