Bark in the Park
March 15, 2008

Peggy, David & Roland drove down as well as me and my husband Greg. The park was very nice. The booths were on grass along a meandering pathway. Lots of people and their dogs attended. David got on the microphone to let people know we were there. He talked a little about the Seniors For Seniors program and how P&P has dogs of all ages needing families. (He sounded great - nice job David!). Our donations were much better than at the Tropical Tails event. I guess people were in the mood to give.  Peggy was pleased.

Peggy decided not to bring any dogs to the event because she was expecting a delivery from Miami-Dade of a new kid. As it turned out the little Affinpincher was delivered after Peggy got back home. (BTW, I hear he's a little sweetheart.) So, we did the best we could to promote the adoption of the Pekes And Pals dogs from the printouts from Petfinder we had in a binder on the table.

Again thanks to Sue and Marty for their lending us their solid as a rock EZup tent. The wind blew and blew and our banner attached to the inside back made a wonderful sail... but the four weights on the legs kept the tent planted enough so it only walked a little. We observed some other style EZup tents that were far inferior so they just looked like mushrooms all day. We saw other tents take off causing possible damage and injury. A solid tent makes ALL THE DIFFERENCE at an outdoor event. Thank you Peggy for delivering it back to them afterwards.  Danielle
